A calm way to practise together
Write Now gives your child short spelling activities with sound, images and keyboard support. Use it as a shared activity for a few minutes at a time.
Try one exercise together
Choose a small focus
Pick an exercise area that matches a sound, letter or word your child is already meeting at school. You do not need to work through the areas in a fixed order.
Listen, look and let your child try
The child hears a word, sees an image and chooses letters. After an attempt that does not match the word, the keyboard presents fewer letter choices for the next attempt.
Talk afterwards
Ask which sounds your child noticed. If it feels useful, let them read or write one of the words on paper without the on-screen keyboard.
Keep the session short and shared
Pause when your child needs a break. Your role is to notice what they are trying, name sounds and letters together, and choose what to do next.
The exercise overview can help you find activities again. It does not show whether a child can read or spell independently.
